QUALITY INSPECTOR NEEDED

Job description

Overview


-Employees will train on 1st shift (5:00am – 2:30pm) for up to 2 months and will transition to 2nd shift (M – F, 2:00pm – 10:30pm) once they are proficient in performing role responsibilities.

Shift differential once they transition to 2nd shift is +$1.00 per hour.

THIS POSITION IS FOR A METAL RECYCLING, REPURPOSING & REFUBISHING MANUFACTURING COMPANY. THIS IS NOT FOR FOOD INDUSTRY WORKERS. IF YOU HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH OR AROUND METALS AND RAW MATERIAL LIKE THIS, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. THE QUALITY TECHNICIAN WILL BE USING SPECIFIC TOOLS AND MACHINES TO TEST METALS AND THEIR PURITY TO ASSURE CLEAN QUALITY TO CUSTOMERS.

MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED


The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished goods for defects or deviations from specifications and working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products using measuring tools, visual inspection, and testing equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-works and rejections, and inputting data into quality databases.
  • Communicate findings to production teams and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment.
  • Identify trends in defects or failures and recommend improvements.
  • Support audits and assist in internal or external quality investigations.

METAL MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED


We have open interviews Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 2 valid forms of ID are required for I9 and E-verify!
